1. Purpose
This policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Tucker Motors Private Limited (“Tucker”) accepts product returns, processes refunds, and handles replacement requests for EV chargers, accessories, and related equipment.
2. Applicability
This policy applies to:
- Tucker – Manufacturer and supplier of EV charging products.
- Charge Point Operators (CPOs) – Businesses purchasing and deploying Tucker equipment.
- Customers – Individuals or organisations purchasing Tucker products directly from Tucker or through authorised dealers.
3. Eligible Products for Return
A product is eligible for return if it meets all of the following conditions:
- Purchased directly from Tucker or an authorised dealer.
- Returned within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery.
- Product is unused, in original packaging, with all manuals, accessories, and invoice.
- Return reason falls under:
- Manufacturing defect identified upon delivery
- Wrong product delivered
- Transit damage reported within 24 hours of delivery.
4. Non-Returnable Products
- Products showing signs of installation, use, or wear.
- Products damaged due to improper handling, storage, or installation by the Customer or CPO.
- Customised products or special orders made to customer specifications.
- Software, mobile apps, or digital products.
5. Return Process
- Step 1: Customer must contact Tucker Support at support@tuckermotors.com within the return period.
- Step 2: Provide:
- Invoice copy
- Product serial number
- Photographs showing the issue
- Reason for return
- Step 3: Tucker verifies the request within 3 working days.
- Step 4: If approved, Tucker arranges return shipping or provides drop-off instructions.
- Step 5: Inspection upon receipt to confirm condition and eligibility.
6. Refund Terms
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days after inspection.
- Refunds will be made to the original payment method only.
- For purchases through a dealer, refunds are processed by that dealer under Tucker’s authorisation.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or incorrect delivery by Tucker.
7. Replacement Policy
- If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the Customer may opt for a replacement unit instead of a refund.
- Replacement units carry the standard Tucker warranty from the original purchase date, not from the replacement date.
8. Responsibilities
Tucker
- Provide accurate product specifications and quality assurance before dispatch.
- Facilitate inspection, approval, and timely refund or replacement.
CPO / Customer
- Ensure products are inspected immediately upon delivery.
- Maintain original packaging and documentation for the return.
- Handle the product carefully until return is processed.
9. Legal Compliance & Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by Indian Consumer Protection Laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
10. Amendments
Tucker reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be published on the official Tucker website and App.
